London is one of the most vibrant cities I have ever visited. There is always something to do, whatever day of the week or the weekend you visit. From discovering city‘s attractions or eating at a fancy restaurant, choosing the perfect place can definitely present a challenge. There are plenty of options to explore. Here is a quick guide of how to spend one day in London.
THINGS TO DO
Visited Tower Bridge Exhibition, open daily April – September from 10:00 – 17:30 and October – March 09:30 – 17:00. The whole exhibition tour caught my interest. Admired stunning panoramic views from the Walkways, walked across the new glass floor, 42 meters above River Thames, discovered Engine Rooms, that once powered the Tower Bridge lifts and learnt about engineers and about how the bridge works.
Informative videos, films and panels to explain tower”s history. Staff was friendly and helpful. Normal adult ticket costs £9.80, although if you travel outside London you can get a 2 for 1 entry. National Rail tickets are valid, a printed voucher is required per two people, per attraction. One person pays the full adult price and the second person goes free on presentation of each voucher.
WHERE TO EAT
Ordered katsu chicken, noodles, spring roles and beer ginger at the price of £28. Food was nice but portions were tiny. Lovely atmosphere and views, friendly service @ Dimt.
Have you ever heard of Selfieccino? What about getting your face printed on your coffee or chocolate? Visited Tea Terrace restaurant and tea room, which is situated at House of Fraser, Victoria Street Branch. Impressed by the elegant environment, decorated on white, pastel blue and pastel pink, Victorian style chairs and sofas. Enjoyed a cappuccino, topped with my face printed in foam. Cost £6.60.
How Selfieccino is made up? First, you take a photo of your self and send it to the baristas team via what”s up or email. Your selfie is scanned afterwards and sent to a machine, named “Cino”, 😋 which prints it onto froth. Whole procedure took around five minutes.
Revolut has simplified currency exchange in my travel. Definitely worth it! Top up in pounds and exchanges money without fees in 29 different currencies. All you have to do is check daily the rates. Check it out here: https://bit.ly/2y9KNUN
